Cooking Hacks

1. Put onion in the fridge or in cold water for 15 minutes before cutting to prevent tearing problem.

2. Refresh used cooking oil by frying some slices of ginger. Ginger will remove the odor of the oil.

3. Warm up the knife before cutting bread so that the bread slices will be cut beautifully

4. Cook potato and then put it in ice water. The peeling job after that is much easier.

5. Peel off garlic quickly by putting them in a plastic box and shake for 1 or 2 minutes.

6. Add a litle bit of baking soda while sauteeing onions to speed up the process.

7. Grill fish on lemons slices to prevent them from sticking on the grill and increase the flavour.

8. Use a pan instead of a pot to cook your pasta to reduce the time to boil water.

9. Freeze herbs in olive oil to preserve freshness.

10. Place a slice of white bread on top of burned rice to remove the burned aroma.

11. Put slices of potato in salty soup to reduce the saltiness.

12. When washing spinach, avoid soaking it because water-soluble nutrients will transfer from leaves into water.

14. Use toothpaste or mouthwash to wash your hand after cooking to clear garlic odor.
