Steamed Banana Cake (Banh Chuoi Hap)

Ingredients:

- 3 bananas

- 50 g sugar

- 100 g flour

- 170 ml water

- Roasted peanuts, coconut milk, a few drops of yellow food coloring (optional)

Instructions: Step 1: Cut banana into 1 cm slices. Step 2: Put banana in 170 ml boiling water and cook about 3 minutes.

Step 3: Take bananas out then mix the water with flour and sugar until dissolved, add 1 tablespoon of coconut milk and stir well. If you like beautiful yellow color, you can add a few drops of yellow food coloring.

Step 4: Prepare steamed pot. Apply a thin layer of cooking oil into the mold, put a layer of bananas and add the flour mixture. Step 5: When the cake turn transaprent, take the mold out and let it cool.

Step 6: Use a sharp knife and slid into thin molds to get the cake out. Cut the cake into 2cm x 2cm cubes. Step 7: Transfer banana cake to a serving plate, sprinkle roasted peanuts and coconut milk on top.
